EYE BROW LIFTING – THE NEW TREND TO EMBELLISH YOUR LOOK
EYE BROW LIFTING, RENEW YOUR LOOK…
How do we know if we need a brow lift?
A dropping eyebrow tail is a good reason to frequently consult our center. Over the years, the movement of the depressor muscles (Mainly the orbicularis oculi, corrugator muscles and the procerus muscle) exhaust the lifting capacity of the frontal muscle and the eyebrows begin to drop.
When this dropping or falling of the eyebrow is more evident at an external portion or tail level, there is a redundancy of skin, which ends up hiding the eyelashes, causing folds at the level of the outer edge of the eye, accentuating “crow’s feet”.
Many patients consult us about a blepharoplasty, as they become aware of or are bothered by this excess of skin at the eyelash level, though aren´t so aware of the redundancy of skin at the level of the crow’s feet. However, when we only perform a lifting of the eyebrow tail, both characteristics are corrected in a more harmonic way.
In many cases, when the classical upper blepharoplasty technique is combined with the brow lift, the results are maximized, but when the causing (eyebrow drop) is just camouflaged by blepharoplasty (direct excision of the upper eyelid skin), the results, though acceptable are not so good.
More specifically: many blepharoplasties are performed by a fall of the eyebrow’s tail so the results are not always the best possible. In this context, blepharoplasty and brow lift are two complementary techniques for a complete orbital rejuvenation. This intervention is performed under local anesthesia and / or relaxation on an outpatient basis. The patient can live a normal life in 4-7 days.
The Royal Aesthetic clinic team will monitor patient follow-up at all times, and is at your disposal 24 hours a day. Dr. Martín Espinosa, with more than 20 years of experience in this treatment, tells us that it is quite a requested intervention, as eyebrows are the harmony of our face.
